Form tabs
Use this form to configure an instance of FCAS.
An instance is one cluster of FCAS protocol modules. Anything set here will be obeyed by an FCAS instance connecting to this gateway after it has connected to the server.

Configuration tab
Use this tab to set configuration parameters for an FCAS instance.

Execution Interval
The number of lines of code to be executed per call to the application.
The default value is 50.
Emulate RAD.DLL
Registers the name RAD.DLL for compatibility with previous versions.
Register LoadShared
Allows applications to be load shared across clustered FCAS instances.
Relay Statistics Packets
Captures all server events as they are generated, for use with applications that work with server statistics events.

Debug tab
Use this tab to set the default debugging levels.
Set these levels after a connection to the server has been established. These settings, except Errors, are used to track specific problems and should be turned off for normal use. Running these settings generates large amounts of debugging data and may impact performance.

Errors
Error messages, including errors generated by applications.
This setting is turned on by default.
Connection
Detailed service-to-server FCP connection debugging information.
Transaction
Detailed database transaction debugging information.
Tasking
Detailed multi-tasking debugging information.
Packet
Detailed packet data delivered to the server debugging information.
ASClient
Detailed server object access debugging information.
Memory
Detailed memory usage debugging information.

Logging tab
Use this tab to configure server logging of console data.
Local console logging is preferred over relaying the log back to the server. Relaying back to the server will increase load on the connection and may impact performance.
Statistics for application launches are generated by default, and go to the server's statistics log if enabled, unless you override that location on this tab.

Start new log
When to start a new log:
Daily
Starts new log each day.
Monthly
Starts new log each month.
Destination
Where statistics are logged to:
Do not log statistics
Log to server log
The server log file is in the Reports/Statistics Folder on the administrator's Desktop.
Log to server statistics folder
The folder specified on the Statistics Control form.
Log to
The folder you specify by supplying the full path.
Because the logs are produced by the server, this path must be on (or accessible to) the FirstClass server machine.
If you have a clustered FCAS environment, each clustered service requires a unique folder, which must be created before starting FCAS.
