Finding users and communities

Using the Custodian Search form
The Custodian Directory Search form is the main interface you will use to manage users and communities. You can filter the search listing, selecting the types of objects to be displayed, and their sort order. You can search for any user or community and perform common administrative functions on accounts.

Listing entries
If you are searching for users, click Users. If you are searching for Communities, click Community.
For both the Users section and the Community section:
To list all entries, click Search.
You can refine the list before you execute the Search by:
•       using the "Pattern" field just as regular users do
•       choosing the field(s) you want to match at "Search"
•       selecting the types of objects you want to list (Regular users or Remote users in the Users section, or the type of community in the Community section). Select "Last logged in" if you wish to view this information.

The application multimatches, so you can enter a partial name and all users or communities who start with those letters will appear.

Performing administrative tasks from the Custodian Directory Search form
Once you have executed your search, you can manipulate user and community data directly from this form.
Users
To add a new user, click New User, and then complete the Custodian User Information form.
To edit an existing user, double-click the user you want to change or select the user and click Edit User.
For additional tasks, see Managing users.
Communities
To edit an existing community, double-click the community you want to change or select the community and click Edit Community.
For additional tasks, see Working with communities.
Example
If you want to find every user who has been invited to join but hasn't accepted yet, do a group search for Pending Invite.

Clicking the Name or User ID column heading will change the sort order to sort on that column. Clicking again will reverse the sort order.
The Communities-related groups you can search in order to filter the results are:
  • All Communities
  • All Profiles
  • Peer Registered Users
  • Pending Invite
  • Private Community
  • Public Community
  • Public Read Only Community
  • Secret Community
  • Suspended Users.
